Welding truck beds are among our most popular small custom welding jobs. The truck bed is one of the most vulnerable parts of the truck since it is always open and exposed to the elements, and thus the surface is prone to rust. The bed also tends to collect debris and thus, gets dirty very easily. This is why maintenance is particularly important in order to keep the truck bed in good shape and prevent expensive truck bed repairs.
One way to maintain your truck bed is by applying bed liners. These liners do not only prevent the bed from suffering from dings and rust, but also protect its finish. There are several types of bed liners that you can install, ranging from simple drop-in liners that you simply drop onto the top of the bed and are kept in place by the design or by other methods to brush-on, and spray liners that come in liquid form and have to be applied using a brush or spray gun.
In addition, you also need to keep the bed of your truck clean even if you have applied a liner. Keeping your truck clean is a simple process, although it does require a certain amount of effort. Start by sweeping the bed free of debris and dirt; if you have a removable liner, take it off and clean it separately. Then rinse the bed out quickly with a pressure washer, starting from the front and moving forward to the tailgate. Wash the bed with soap if lined and car shampoo if unlined, then rinse off, dry and apply wax.
Apart from welding truck beds, we also offer truck repair welding jobs. Your truck is important to your livelihood and so you need to maintain it in good running order, since every day you cannot use it costs you money. We will repair all sorts of trucks and trailers and ensure that these small jobs get the same attention that we give to our bigger clients.
We accept a variety of small custom projects in addition to welding truck beds. These include installation of aids for handicap access such as lifts and handrails, truck repairs and trailer repairs. We also offer various types of welding services including MIG, TIG and SPOT welding as well as welding with hot rolled steel, aluminum and hot rolled steel.
